Blogging vs. Journalism
When it comes to sports journalism, there is a big issue these days on the value/credibility of blogging. Almost every day I read various sports blogs, purely for entertainment. Very few of these sights claim to have real journalistic values, but for some reason, major media outlets like ESPN have a big problem with sports bloggers. They question the importance and reliability, which I think is ridiculous. Blogging can be important and provide great discussion at times, but for the most part, I think it is there for entertainment. Especially in sports. It will be interesting to see where this issue goes in the future, especially as a few mainstream reporters have actually began to embrace blogging.
